    Requirements are FAA Commercial, with CFI and 200 hours in TYPE. Must be current within 6 months on type also. First Class medical also required.

    Position will involve working for a new operator of this type, the owner is a large Pharmaceutical manufacturer who also has interests in media related businesses. The EC130 has 400 hrs since new and is a 2008 model which will need to be ferried in from India. Part of the duties will included setting up the flight department, making and implementing the SOP¹s. You will also need to train 2 local Pilots on the aircraft during the first 6 months. And fly with them as their mentor.

    Pay is circa US $10,000 per month after tax, medical in country, accommodation in a furnished 2 bedroom western style apartment, a car and driver is provided as is costs involved in getting work visas. Airfares to and from your home are also included. When on overnight trips, there is no out of pocket expenses; the company will cover hotels in 4 star or higher hotels and food.

    Food allowance is earned only on jobs where pilots pay for their own food. If the customer pays for food the food allowance is not paid.
    Days off in the field are paid at the applicable field rate.

    Responsibilities

    The Calgary Police Service requires a helicopter pilot to provide airborne law enforcement around the Calgary region. This involves providing operational air support to ground police units, which includes support to search and rescue.

     

    Qualifications

    The successful applicant must have a High school Diploma or an equivalency (e.g. GED) supplemented by a current group IV (Helicopters) instrument rating and 2500 hours of helicopter flying. The successful candidate must possess a valid Canadian Commercial Pilot Licence or Airline Transport Pilot Licence as per the guidelines outlined by the Canadian government located at:

    In addition all successful applicants must be legally entitled to work in Canada.
